Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists works to improve the life skills or vocational path of their clients/patients. It is a form of rehabilitation that helps people overcome or adapt to their functional deficiencies so they can live as independently as possible. They tend to focus more on fine motor skills, hand functions, activates of daily living such as dressing and cooking. It emphasis is upon the importance of occupation (e.g., functional tasks and activities performed throughout life that are meaningful and purposeful to the individual)
